The Business Analyst safely executes financial strategies and objectives across a project or location.
Understands business line service and manages the improvement of operational efficiency.
Exceeds the service delivery of overall customer satisfaction based on established indicators.
Ensures that all projects are following Company standard operating processes.
This individual is expected to foster a collaborative work environment.
This person must have excellent judgment and discretion when interacting with others and in managing information.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, able to multitask, has strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and has strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Review the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets Prepare various cost reports and maintain forecast accuracy Prepare project performance analysis, cost, and schedule status reports Identify cost and schedule variances from objectives and recommend corrective action Assess and report on project performance using established standards Develops and improves operational efficiencies either directly or indirectly through the project team Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine operational progress toward stated goals and objectives Drives profitability by continually communicating with field managers Actively works to gain the respect of subordinates through daily interaction with the project team Ensure that responses to project budget cost requests reflect accurate and current project cost information and stakeholders are in concurrence Input data into various programs and prepare various cost and forecasting reports Verify that project cost and schedule milestones were/were not attained and provide input to identify future process or business improvements and work with responsible parties to implement Maintain scope change, contingency release, and change order Maintain written and electronic project documentation and records for required aspects of the project Maintain project files per established guidelines and requirements Document change order requests, project status, key issues, risks and resolution, priority changes and approvals Validate daily, weekly, and monthly data sets Participate in (or lead) various process improvement initiatives with project management Prepare various monthly and weekly project performance reports - budget and cycle forecast reports; and finance status reports, utilizing the financial tracking software Monitor, analyze, and report on the projects forecasting performance, with weekly performance reports, utilizing the financial tracking tools Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders Ensure a high level of internal client satisfaction Uphold and promote the company's values Attend operational meetings as required Travel may be required for training Other duties as assigned SKILLS AND ABILITIES Creative problem-solver, with the ability to think, plan, and execute multiple projects autonomously and in an organized fashion, balancing the long-term and urgent needs of the team Demonstrated ability to work calmly and collaboratively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, maintaining good judgment and the ability to escalate appropriately Must be able to perform in a high transaction volume environment Must be highly organized, flexible, deadline and detail-oriented Excellent project management and communication skills Must be a self-starter, able to produce with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally When business critical issues arise, must be willing to work outside normal business hours.
