Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst will provide financial forecasting, business planning, and general accounting support to the FP&A leadership. This personwillproduce and provide financial analyses to internal clients and management and work with others in the FP&A and business groups to prepare budgets, variance analyses, and capital planning schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain reporting and analysis models that track financial performance and results of various projects within the organization including the monthly close/reforecast process and variance reporting standards
Utilize Oracle Projects and other G/L & Finance data sources to accurately report Revenue Recognition, Cost Accruals, and Billing/Receivable details for various projects & clients
Assist in providing timely and accurate reporting/analysis and ensure information is received completely and in the correct format before completing final analyses
Maintain the financial planning system by completing data uploads and revisions and running and organizing automated reports that accurately consolidate and identify issues that cause variances
Complete monthly revenue and expense analysis to provide key drivers impacting results
Communicate with business partners to ensure consistency with current finance operational environment
Complete special projects and ad hoc requests for financial information
Software Skills:
MS Office environment including Excel
Experience with Oracle strongly preferred; experience with financial sub-ledger based project system a must
Technical Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics
2+ years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis
Strong analytical skills with experience in creating reports using various financial systems
Personal Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate effectively with management both in the finance and business operations groups
Ability to perform and remain organized in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment by multi-tasking
Ability to take initiative and work independently in a sometimes unstructured environment with frequently changing priorities
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills with desire to grow in finance profession

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
