HVAC Installer

Job Description

Looking for an installer with experience in the commercial field as well as high-end residential.


Must have experience in sheet metal, must have have good soldering/brazing skills.


Different environment, different jobs and challenging at times - keeps the work day interesting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Install air handlers, condensers, packaged units, rooftops, ductless, water source heat pumps, chillers, cooling towers,.... and other types of HVAC equipment



  • Install ductwork; measure and order ductwork as needed



  • Install grilles, dampers, diffusers, louvers



  • Install condensate, refrigerant, chilled water, condenser, hot water, and steam piping. Must have ability to braze and solder



  • Install control wiring and control components



  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Maintain regular attendance.


KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:


KNOWLEDGE OF:


? Standard practices of the HVAC and refrigeration trade.


? Theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.


? Materials, methods and tools used in the installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems.


? Applicable building codes, ordinances and regulations of State and local authorities pertaining to HVAC, refrigeration and boilers.


? Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade.


? Brazing and soldering techniques.


? Health and safety regulations.


? Basic record-keeping techniques.


? Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.


ABILITY TO:


? Properly protect working area in order to minimize chances of damages to surrounding surfaces


? Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities.


? Follow oral and written instructions.


? Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.


? Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.


? Understand and follow oral and written directions.


? Work cooperatively with others.


? Work independently with little direction.


? Meet schedules and time lines.


? Maintain routine records and prepare reports.


? Routinely lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs


Requirements


? Universal EPA license a must.


? Industry related tools of your own possession


? Driver's license a must w/ good record


? Must maintain a neat and safe work vehicle (all maintenance costs covered by company.)


? Must wear company uniforms during all working hours.


? Must be able to maintain safe operation and neat appearance of work area and equipment through good work habits.


? Must be able to work with and be compatible with other employees, work with minimal supervision, and be a team player.


? 99% of the jobs are always scheduled between 9:00am to 5:00pm M-F


? Ability to communicate over email; must be responsive with emails

Majority of work in NYC, must report NJ location often. Looking for candidates to reside in NJ


Experience:



  • HVAC Installation: 1 year


Education:



  • High school or equivalent


License:



  • EPA Universal


Certifications - OSHA 10 Hour a Must!

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
